Admission: Free Permit Required
Stephens Gap is an unreal experience and a must-see hidden gem in Alabama.
It’s a really short and easy hike, consisting of only two miles round trip to a huge 150ft cave with a waterfall. Keep in mind, in order to visit this cave, you’ll have to request a special permit. After filling out the requested information, you’ll receive details on where to park.
Southeastern Cave Conservancy (SCC), now offers an online permitting system that allows admission-free access to anyone who wants to visit.

Fun Fact: The trees along the trail are labeled with yellow flags, which should make it much easier to find the cave.
